YYC SHOPS TO SPRUCE UP YOUR HOME LIFE

Textiles to Plants & Everything In Between

This month, we’ve shared some of our must-shop local and Canadian businesses in fashion and dining. This week's theme: everything home! Calgary has so many great places to shop when it comes to home goods - from ceramics, apothecary, textiles, plants, and more. Whether you’re looking to revamp your home for the new season ahead, or you want to pick up a few finishing touches for your home office, here are three of our picks for local stops when it comes to your home.

1. FIELD KIT STUDIO

Planning on a little weekend R&R? Be sure to stop at Field Kit Studio first. Not only is this company based in Calgary, but all products are also made right here in the city. Fill up a bath, grab some bar soaps made of french clay, and set the mood with a soy candle and the warm scent of cedar (or another scent of your choice). They even offer travel soaps which almost look good enough to eat!

2. PLANT PLANT

Plant Plant - aka Inglewood hotspot Plant’s new sibling - is here just in time to guide you through your Spring gardening with their new studio and production space designed to “bring a playful spirit to your plant parenting indoors and out!” Whether you’re a nervous new plant parent or a seasoned pro, Plant Plant will provide you with fresh ideas, care info for your new additions, and even in-depth workshops that will empower you to experiment with your gardening for the season ahead!

3. FIELD STUDY SHOP

Field Study Shop is your one stop shop for everything ceramics, apothecary, textiles, clothing, accessories and more. But just because they cover a lot of ground, doesn’t mean they sacrifice quality. In fact, it’s the exact opposite, opting to hand-pick products made by artisans across North America. They even encourage customers to “buy fewer, better quality goods” that you can love for years to come.
