Get ready to let the good times roll, Calgary! Block Party is back for the third summer, bringing the same vibrant energy to Deerfoot City with a new twist – say hello to the Roller Rink on The Boulevard. Dig out your vintage roller skates (or rent some vibrant wheels) and live your best retro ‘70s summer life. Featuring a 215ft road mural, patio space, outdoor games, and local art, Block Party’s third annual installation is a can’t-miss experience!

Stay and play a while; grab lunch from the Food Lodge, shop outdoor Artisan Collective markets, and entertain yourself with lawn games, The Rec Room, iFly, fitness lessons, and more throughout the summer. Be sure to tag @destinationdeerfootcity, @ourparkonline, and #YYCBlockParty on Instagram so we can see the fun through your eyes!

THE ROLLER RINK

  • The Roller Rink is open to the public seven days a week during core hours.

  • Guests needing to rent skates are encouraged to book on the Destination Deerfoot City website as quantities are limited.

  • Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Guests are welcome to skate with their own equipment free of charge. Donations for Kids Up Front are appreciated.

  • To ensure all skaters have the best time, rink capacity will be monitored and limited by Guest Services. Please be aware of guests waiting to skate.

PARK and Deerfoot City are proud to donate all proceeds from skate rentals to Kids Up Front, an organization dedicated to ensuring that all kids have access to fun, enriching experiences.
